Hilarious

This is probably the funniest thing I've run across in a while:

Enjoy...

I often run across things on Ebay that I either find extremely interesting & have to have - but every once in a while, I run across things that I find extremely hilarious - take this for example:

Actually, if I had a clown phobia *cough, Kristin, cough, Lizzie* this would probably scare the crap out of me, but since I'm ok with clowns and not at all afraid of them, I think it's hilarious. Okay - so maybe it is a bit creepy.

Frank-Isms

Following is a list of some of the words that my hubby Frank says, that sometimes just makes me stop & shake my head and wonder (sometimes outloud) "What in the world was I thinking":

1) Yest-ah-day (I seriously thought there was an R in there somewhere, but apparently I'm wrong)
2)Thatt-a-way (Shouldn't that be 2 words "That Way"?)
3) This-a-way (Again - shouldn't that be 2 words "This Way"?)
4) Sall-mon (no - honey the L is really silent, well kind of)
5) Sat-ah-day (as in the day after Friday - or is there an 8th day of the week?)
6) Vah-gin-ya (you know - it's the state directly south of MD & north of North Carolina)
7) Tah-day
8) Wahn (versus Lose)

Feeling Evil This Morning

Just when Frank thought he had things covered as far as our outdoor holiday lights go, I just had to show him this website:

Yes - I'm feeling pretty evil...

Uh oh - he's gone too far

This is what happens when Frank has too much time on his hands, and after seeing that one of our neighbors was the first to hang house lights in the neighborhood. He says that he still has some more work to do - including hanging lit Garland on the porch railings & adding some icicle lights to the peak of the roof above bedrooms that are over the garage. Frankly, I would have been just perfectly happy lighting up on ly the bushes & shrubs in the front front yard , and if he plugged in the lit wreath that's hanging on the front door...

And here's our Christmas Tree this year, minus our silver tree topper:

Well Thanksgiving is here and gone - we had dinner at our house this year, which wouldn't have been so bad, if hubby hadn't decided to invite his family too - which meant over 20 people all eating at the same time. Actually it didn't go too badly - there was more than enough food, and Frank's mother, for the most part, behaved herself - and the true miracle of the day - I didn't burn anything!

Ordinarily on the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Frank and I and the kids all go out and go Christmas Shopping. Most years I'm pretty much done with my shopping by Thanksgiving, so we finish everything up. This year though, I hadn't done much shopping at all, and with Frank out of town on a job, I didn't get much accomplished. CJ and I did pick up a few gift cards and we looked at some things he liked (his list seems to get longer each year & more expensive!). I did find myself online at 3 a.m. on Black Friday just to see if I could get the same prices online as they had advertised in their sale paper, and most items they had advertised in the store, were the same price online - so I picked up a few things there. I also managed to address about 1/2 of our Christmas Card and will hopefully be able to finish that up today.

I dug out most of our Christmas Boxes & managed to decorate a bit and put up our Chtistmas tree last night. Frank got home late last night and after noticing one of the neighbors had put up their outside lights, he declared that today he would put up ours - heaven forbid someone outdo him! I'll have to really keep my eye on him today - otherwise our house may end up looking like this:

My rant(s) for the day

So I had this wonderful idea today at lunch, to stop at Panda Express - I generally don't crave their food, but every once in a while, I really want some of their friend rice & sweet and sour chicken - it's absolutely delicious. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've been there recently that they've been "all out" of sweet & sour chicken. Today I was told it would take about 10 minutes for the next batch to be ready. 10 minutes? What the hell is up with that? Didn't they realize they were almost out? Shouldn't they have planned a bit better? Especially considering it was lunch time?

Needless to say, I didn't wait the 10 mintues & opted instead for Orange Chicken. UGH - it was disgusting...

I got in my car at Panda Express & proceeded to back out into the parking lot - I got about half way out and some rude biatch came flying throught he parking lot in her Jeep and beeped her horn like I wasn't already half way out! How rude was that? Couldn't she have been a bit more patient? Wasn't it clear that the back end of my car was already in the parking lot? Anyway - I couldn't just let her get away with that - nooo...not me! I put down my drivers window & completely lost my mind on her - boy did I feel better....

Oh - and to the impatient lady at Bed Bath and Beyond who rushed in front of me to grab up what she thought was the last Capahlon Turkey Roasting Pan: Kiss my ass bitch! There were alot more in the back! So there! HA!

Finally - thank goodness!

Whew - thank god it's finally over! http://people.aol.com/people/article/0,26334,1073518_1561075,00.html

On Saturday Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes married, and although I really don't give a crap about them or their wedding, I'm so glad it's over with. I'm sick of all pictures in the tabloids that glare out at me when I'm standing in line at the checkout, I'm sick of all the stupid stories on the news about their impending nupitals - now maybe it will all stop! Although I imagine, it's just a matter of time before the tabloids start painting a negative picture on their marriage & I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they predict their divorce and the media circus begins once again...

I'm in heaven!

You may, if you wish, call me a "techno-geek" - but this little toy below is rocking my world right now:
What is it, you ask? Well - it's a Western Digital 160gb portable external hard drive! Now I finally can store all of my photos, various graphics, home videos & all of the kids music files without hogging up the hard drive on my laptop.

You could say - that this external hard drive is equivalent to my hubby buying a beer fridge...

They've decided that this week is the week for my entire department and I to move from one floor to another, which actually is a great idea, considering our big boss is on that other floor - however they're putting us into a space that's not quite as big ours. This includes our new "storage" space which is the size of a coat closet - somehow I have to cram close to 40 boxes into this "room" that's already 1/2 full with junk.

If that weren't bad enough, our budget is due in 2 days and I have to get that all ready for one of my bosses, plus finish packing up our storage room, plus one of my bosses is now asking for me to pack her things up.

So let's just review this equation:

Cram 40 or so boxes into a small closet + pack about 2 more of my own boxes + pack about 10 boxes up for my office/cubicle + finish the budget by Wednesday = A CRAZY 3 DAYS!

K-Fed
I read in the local newspaper this morning that Kevin Federline stopped at a nearby Wal-Mart yesterday on his way to DC for some event or concert or something like that. Apparently there were tons of reporters/Paparazzi following him & his entourage around Wally World. I'm so glad I wasn't there - I would have been tempted to say something like "Who the hell cares about you & Britney?" Luckily this didn't make the front page of the paper.... (although I'm a bit surprised it didn't)

Christmas is right around the corner
It hit me this morning - only 43 more days until Christmas! YIKES - I'm not at all prepared - I've only bought 2 gifts so far, I haven't bought any decorations yet for the house & I haven't even thought about any of it much until this morning. I have no idea what to get for Frank or the kids, or my mother for that matter. I was hoping to put up 2 or 3 Christmas trees this year, but I'm not sure I'll get much more of a chance to put up more than 1 tree and I have no clue how exactly to decorate this year. Hopefully that will all come to me later.

Soccer, Soccer & More Soccer
We spent a better part of yesterday on a soccer field for a tournament CJ's team is in - they lost both games - but they were to state Champs, the fact that they didn't demolish us was an accomplishment in itself. The fact that I didn't stand up during the second game & punch a few of the mothers from the other soccer team right in the nose is a miracle. They were so loud & so obnoxious & objected to just about every call that wasn't in there favor - and then when they won the game, what did they do? They pulled out a freaking horn and blew into it?? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT? I seriously thought Frank was going to shove that horn up someone's ass, but he restrained himself (yet another miracle of the day).

Of course while the parents from the other team were celebrating beside me after the game - I said to one of the rude bitches beside me "Uhhh - aren't you guys state champs?" and she said "Yes we are" and I said "Didn't you guys play the entire fall season?" (CJ's team sat out all fall season to play high school soccer) and she said "uhhh - yeah", and I said "ohhhhhhhhhhh - ok, I see then. So this is the end of your soccer season. We sat out all fall to play high school so this is just the start of our season..." (When I really meant - State Champs & you played all fall? Shit, you should have beaten us 5-0 instead of 2-0!)

I thought today was election day!

Ok - am I missing something, or is today Election Day?? I know I woke up a bit earlier than usual, went down to a local school and voted. I did my part.

So what breaking news headline does CNN chose to send out today via email? "Britney Spears files for divorce from her husband Kevin Federline citing irreconciable differences".. WHO GIVES A CRAP??? Who the hell cares if they're splitting up? I mean, really - like that wasn't predictable!!

What I want to know is how the elections are doing? Isn't that just a bit more important??

I was a bit annoyed though as there were things on the ballot today that I just wasn't sure about and in those instances I stuck pretty much with my party. Why can't they have an option for "WTF?"

What a great weekend

I spent the better part of the weekend in Connecticut, celebrating my Uncle's 80th birthday, along with my mother, my dear sweet baby 'sis, my brother in law, my Aunt & Uncle & friends, coworkers & neighbors of theirs.

It was a great weekend, we had a fantastic time!!

BUT - this is what I had to deal with all weekend:

Yes - my sister with a knife, luckily for us all, she wasn't quite sure how to use it...
